As the Designer of Abbott Elementary licensed books at Scholastic, I oversee the design, illustration, and production of media tie-ins in a variety of formats, ensuring brand consistency and attention-grabbing visuals. On each project, my responsibilities typically include, but are not limited to, researching and hiring artists, negotiating contract terms, project management, presenting cover comps to stakeholders and licensors, and designing/routing internal passes. Typically, the collaboration process for Abbott Elementary includes the Scholastic internal team, the licensor (Warner Brothers), and occasionally even Quinta Brunson, so it was especially important to keep as close to the original schedule as possible, to ensure all parties got their ample time to review.
