Harry Potter:
Bake, Create, and Decorate!
At Scholastic, there’s a book for every kid. That’s why we thought it’d be a great idea to do a book for the kids who may not be able to/want to make Harry Potter themed treats completely from scratch. Using store-bought cake mix and doing something a bit more simple with the kiddos can be just as tasty and rewarding.
In the past, we’ve worked with a trusted packager, Amazing15, and we thought the team would be the perfect fit for this. As usual, they absolutely knocked it out of the park! Amazing 15 handled all photography of the models and food, and worked on the overall interior design with our art direction.
Utilizing the photography provided, I worked on the cover, simultaneously (after using stock imagery to provide a mock-up of what I had in mind).
We are all so pleased with how this book turned out, and hope kids everywhere are able to enjoy each recipe inside!
Fun Fact: I also came up with the title, “Bake, Create, and Decorate!”
The Official Harry Potter Cookbook
A companion to The Official Baking Book, published in 2021, the Harry Potter Official Cookbook is full of savory recipes, tasty snacks, and magical beverages sure to delight.
Similar to the Baking Book and Bake, Create and Decorate, we worked with Amazing 15 on this one, as they had already developed a process for the Baking Book that we knew we’d want to replicate on the Cookbook. Amazing 15 handled all photography of the models and food, and worked on the overall interior design with our art direction.
Utilizing the photography provided, I worked on the cover, simultaneously and worked to make it look like a companion to the Baking Book while having its own look.
